Who We Are
Pierce Babirak is a Partner and the General Counsel of King Street Legal, PLLC. He is a seasoned attorney and trusted advisor whose practice centers around the intersection of law, finance, regulation, and innovation – helping clients navigate regulatory uncertainty, facilitating numerous transaction structures, brokering complex deal negotiations, advising on product development and go-to-market strategies, and representing clients before federal agencies and state regulators. Before joining the firm, Pierce practiced law as a corporate, regulatory, and financial services attorney at Cooley LLP and Mitchell Sandler PLLC. He also clerked for Judge Alice Batchelder on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Prior to practicing law, Pierce worked in finance for a variety of financial institutions and had a brief career in the education sector. Pierce earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, his MBA in Finance from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College. Outside of his work at the firm, Pierce is the General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Vallecito Capital, LLC, a mission-driven litigation fund, and serves as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves.
Dylan Jacobs is an Associate at King Street Legal, PLLC. He is an experienced appellate and trial litigator who has represented clients at all levels of the state and federal courts. Before joining King Street Legal, Dylan served as the Deputy Solicitor General for the State of Arkansas, where he led the state’s efforts in scores of high-stakes and high-profile cases at all stages of litigation ranging from the initial complaint-drafting stage all the way through United States Supreme Court review. In that role, he presented a dozen appellate oral arguments, including initial en banc arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and first-chaired multiple federal trials. He led a six-state coalition’s successful effort to block enforcement of the Title IX rule promulgated by the U.S. Department of Education during the Biden Administration. He also authored numerous amicus briefs across all levels of federal and state courts. In addition to defending the state in litigation, Dylan provided strategic advice to state officials and agencies on critical legal issues. Prior to his government service, Dylan was a litigation and regulatory attorney at the Washington, D.C. office of Jones Day. He graduated Order of the Coif from the Vanderbilt University Law School and served as an Articles Editor on the Vanderbilt Law Review. He earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
